Residents in parts of Eden are able to recycle at their own kerbside by using either a Greenbox for multi-material dry recyclables, a box for paper only and/or wheeled bin for garden waste.
In the multi-material Greenbox scheme paper, glass, tins and cans are collected each fortnight from the participating households using a specially provided 55 litre greenbox.
The Kerbside Paper Only scheme operates on a fortnightly basis and collects newspapers, magazines, junk mail, envelopes, catalogues and directories from a plastic box.
The wheeled bins for garden waste are also collected fortnightly (4 weekly in winter). The waste is turned into an environmentally friendly compost. Accepted materials include grass, leaves, twigs, weeds, flowers and small branches.
Some residents may not yet have access to the kerbside recycling schemes.
