Cumbria County Council is  helping you get through the recession. On these pages we have listed some useful information to help you, your family or your business through the global recession, including support if you're worried about losing your job, or if you're finding it difficult to pay the bills. The council has also now agreed an anti-poverty strastrategy (PDF 4mb) which not only analyses and assesses the current levels of poverty and deprivation in the county, but also agrees to introduce new measures to prevent families and individuals getting into poverty in the first place. We are committed to training our frontline staff so that they can help you access the support and benefits you're entitled to.
