The statutory fee for entering a notice of marriage is £33.50 per person (£67.00 per couple).  This will increase to £35.00 (£70.00 per couple) on 1st April 2012.

If you are marrying in the Register Office, the fee for the ceremony is £40.00 and £3.50 for the certificate.  From 1st April 2012 the ceremony fee will increase as follows:

Monday to Friday                    £45.00
Saturday Morning                   £100.00
Saturday Afternoon                £275.00
Sunday and Bank Holidays      £350.00

The cost of a marriage certificate will increase to £4.00 from 1st April 2012.

If you are marrying in one of our Approved Premises between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2012 the fees are as follows:

Monday to Thursday               £260.00
Friday                                   £285.00
Saturday                               £320.00
Sunday & Bank Holidays         £410.00

Please Note: All fees are required to be paid 8 weeks prior to the date of the ceremony. You can pay in cash, by cheque, or by credit / debit card.

If you wish to book your ceremony more than 12 months in advance of the date of your ceremony there is a £50 non-refundable booking fee. This is in addition to any other fees payable.  This fee will increase to £75.00 from 1st April 2012.

Please note that if you are marrying at an approved venue from 1st April 2012 to 31st March 2013 the fees will be as follows:

Monday to Thursday              £275.00
Friday                                  £295.00
Saturday                              £375.00
Sunday & Bank Holidays        £450.00

NB: All fees are regularly reviewed, and can be confirmed at time of booking with the Registrar.
