Countryside Rangers

Group of people arpund sign

Did you know there are now four countryside access rangers covering the parts of Cumbria outside the National Parks?

Their job is to be the first point of contact for local people with all sorts of countryside access issues.  In some cases, they may be able to directly help solve the report.  In other cases, they will be working with our partners, to work towards a seamless service.

Their areas are shown on the map you can download below.  Broadly speaking, the ranger areas are:

  • Copeland District and Allerdale District outside the National Park - Bob Muscat
  • Carlisle District and south into Eden District (until the Hartside road) - Geoff Fewkes
  • The rest of Eden District outside the National Parks - Tony Burns
  • South Lakeland District and Barrow-in-Furness District, outside the National Parks - Eve Borrino

The ranger contact details are below.
