Access for All in the Yorkshire Dales National Park
The Yorkshire Dales have produced a guide to barrier-free countryside access, called "Access for all in the Yorkshire Dales". There is information about accessible trails included from the link below.
They also produce a booklet called "Access for all in the Yorkshire Dales National Park - Garsdale, Dentdale and Sedbergh" together with the Sedbergh and District Community Trust. Contact Sedbergh Tourist Information Centre to find out more.

Carlisle City Council have produced a series of doorstep walks which you can download or order.
Forestry Commission Access for All
The Forestry Commission own and manage numerous forest sites across England. Many of these have access for all facilities.
National Trust Access for All
The National Trust welcomes visitors with disabilities to their properties.
Natural England`s National Nature Reserves
Natural England's National Nature Reserves (NNRs) are some of the country's key wildlife sites and provide opportunities to experience wildlife at first hand and to learn more about nature conservation.
Natural England believes that these opportunities should be available to everyone including visitors with physical disabilities or special needs. Accordingly Natural England has adopted the principle of 'Access for All' on its National Nature Reserves.
The link below provides information on the NNRs which have some provision for disabled visitors. Finglandrigg Wood NNR (West of Carlisle) is one such reserve in Cumbria.
RSPB Campfield Marsh Reserve
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds have numerous reserves within Cumbria where you can enjoy watching birdlife. Campfield Marsh on Cumbria's West Coast is one such reserve where wheelchair access has been created.Watchtree Nature Reserve Access for All
Watchtree Nature Reserve is a DEFRA (Department of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs) owned site and managed by Watchtree Nature Reserve Ltd, a Not for Profit Limited Company. Watchtree Nature Reserve Ltd manages the conservation management, visitor access and education and community aspects of the site through a Land Management and Funding Agreement with a twenty-five year lease on the land.
Watchtree Nature Reserve is open to the public on a managed basis. Visitors can access the reserve during organised events and guided walks as advertised on the website and in the local press.
Outside of office hours (9am - 5pm) access is available to 'Friends of Watchtree' only. To become a 'Friend' you must visit the site and complete a site induction with either the Nature Reserve Manager or one of the Directors.
Please note that access is only available during daylight hours.
