Skip main menu

Here you will be able to download copies of the open access signboards we were able to install using Natural England's "AMGS" fund.

Hopefully photographs of the signboards in place will also be available to download, so that you "know before you go" what you are looking out for!

North Pennines AONB leaflet

The North Pennines AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) Partnership have produced a leaflet to show people where to go and suggested walks.  The leaflet includes open access areas and local accommodation providers, such as Youth Hostels.

We have a stock of the printed leaflet in Cumbria County Council, please contact us to have one posted to you.  It can also be downloaded below.

You can download the leaflet here (827 KB)

Warcop

This OS map sheet also includes the MOD land at Warcop, near Appleby-in-Westmorland.  There are special access arrangements here, involving short-notice and long-notice "no firing" days on the ranges.

The MOD have also produced a leaflet which you can download.
