Community Transport

Cumbria County Council tries to ensure that as many people as possible have regular access to some form of public transport in their area.  In a predominantly rural area with a dispersed population, such as Cumbria is, this can present a number of practical and financial difficulties.  However, we try to find innovative and cost-effective solutions to these difficulties whenever possible.

Consequently, there are a number of special schemes presently available to local communities. Further information on these schemes can be found by following the links presented in the menu options on the left.
