Neighbourhood Policing in Cumbria is all about working with members of the community and partner agencies to identify and tackle local policing priorities with the aim of creating safer and stronger neighbourhoods.
Local people are encouraged to get to know their local police officers and Police Community Support Officer (PCSOs) and to attend community meetings so that they can identify problems and share ideas to work towards finding a solution.
Assistant Chief Constable Neil Rhodes, who is in charge of territorial policing, said: “Cumbria Constabulary is focused on building confident communities. We want to ensure that everyone living and working in Cumbria gets to know who their local police officers and PCSOs are, how to contact them, and what the policing priority is in their area.”
